‘Profoundly anti-Catholic and disgusting to boot’. LifeSite News hatemonger excoriates Oscar-winning movie

BEFORE the absurdist multiverse action fantasy-comedy Everything Everywhere All at Once scooped SEVEN Oscars last month, anti-LGBT+ Catholic zealot John-Henry Westen, above, went on the warpath against the movie in a video posted to YouTube upon its release last year.

After its stunning triumph at the Academy Awards, Westen re-posted the profoundly anti-gay video.

It didn’t remain long on YouTube, which judged that Westen’s diatribe breached its community guidelines and removed it.

But it did more than that. LifeSite, a far-right Christian site best known for touting conspiracy theories, reported yesterday (Tuesday):

Big Tech monolith YouTube on Easter weekend deleted the John-Henry Westen Show YouTube channel. They also went a step further, targeting John-Henry’s own personal account and thereby blocking him from posting, editing, or even watching videos on the site.

LifeSite now has its own channel, and in railing against YouTube, reposted Westen’s video, in which he says:

Everything Everywhere All at Once implicitly attacks the Catholic Church for its teachings on homosexuality, and even offers a shocking attack against the Holy Eucharist.

Winning accolades and critical acclaim at the box office, and showered with awards at the 95th Academy Awards, Everything Everywhere All at Once is a standard-bearer for anti-family, anti-life, and anti-Catholic propaganda so beloved by the Left.

Video is all about Catholic ‘love’ of LGBT+ communities

Westen justified his inflammatory video by saying:

The only reason why we as Catholics oppose homosexual sexual relations is love.

It is true love for all people, especially our brothers and sisters who are tempted to engage in sexual behaviors that are harmful to them.

We must love them enough to tell them that these behaviors are harmful for them. That they are harmful physically, psychologically, and spiritually.

We all know how this “love” play out in the real world. Hardly a day goes by without reports of acts of violence against LGBT+ folk taking place in all parts of the world.

The latest concerns the stabbing of a 44-year-old in New York last Friday. A group of seven young people beat a Raphael Ribot, and stabbed him in the thigh while making anti-gay remarks.

Then there’s the America’s escalating war against trans people.

Yesterday, according to Yahoo!, Republicans’ demonisation of transgender people “reached new levels” when Florida Rep. Webster Barnaby, above, compared them to “mutants”, “demons” and ‘imps” during a speech at the state capital.

The congressman’s diatribe came during a discussion of Florida House Bill 1521, which criminalises the use of public bathrooms for transgender people.

Barnaby called himself a “proud Christian conservative Republican” and went on to call transgender people “evil.”

The Lord rebuke you, Satan, and all of your demons and all of your imps who come parade before us. That’s right, I called you demons and imps who come and parade before us and pretend that you are part of this world.

So, I’m saying my righteous indignation is stirred. I am sick and tired of this. I’m not going to put up with it. You can test me and try to take me on, but I promise you, I’ll win every time.”

Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood said on Twitter that Barnaby:

Is an embarrassment to Volusia County and to the state of Florida.

In the face of outrage such as this Barnaby later reportedly walked back his hateful remarks.

  1. ““proud Christian conservative Republican.” Not much to be proud about there. Quite the opposite. He is a typical evangelical Christian purveyor of hatred and malicious attacks on innocent people minding their own business.
