RADIANT Mobile, which calls itself the “first-ever Christian mobile carrier,” is capable of blocking a slew of content, from pornography to websites that mention sexuality, according to USA Today.

“Imagine opening your phone and getting a message that, ‘This content contains some lesbians. Access denied.’ It’s like a youth minister has been built in,” content creator Justin Kralemann, also known as The Woke Ginger, said in a TikTok video. “The plan costs $29.99 a month, which seems a little steep for half the Internet being removed. Where are we as a country now? At this point, we’re waiting for ‘Christian Uber.’”

Radiant Mobile’s founder, Paul Fisher, told MIT Technology Review.

We are going to create—and we think we have every right to do so—an environment that is Jesus-centric, that is void of pornography, void of LGBT, void of trans.

In its FAQ section Radiant poses the question “Does the sexuality category include LGBTQ+, gender identity or related topics?”

Answer: “Yes! Radiant is committed to content that supports the biblical view of identity, sexuality, and family.”

The company does not have a category specific to gender but that “LGBT content” tends to fall into its sexuality category, which is described on Radiant Mobile’s website as “sites that provide information on sex, sex and teenagers, and sexual education, without pornographic content.” This category is blocked by default on all phones, a setting that can only be changed by adult account owners.

If parents allow their kids to access the sexuality section, it’s highly unlikely that they will get a balanced, let alone positive view of trans or homosexual people. Remember, “Radiant is committed to content that supports the biblical view of identity, sexuality, and family.”

We all know that the biblical view of anything is pure baloney, and what these kids are likely to gain from the sexuality section is a whole load of fear and self-loathing, and warnings that their “lifestyles” will pack them off to hell.

Radiant is hoping to attract pastors to sign up to their network, but , given that that so many of American pulpit pilots are addicted to porn, which is totally inaccessible on Radiant, it may have uphill struggle.

According to MIT Chris Klimis, a minister in Orlando who was recruited to be the company’s chief operating officer, says part of the reason he got involved was to offer Christians a real way to “do something” about what he sees as a pornography crisis within the faith. He was appalled by a recent survey showing that 67% of pastors have a “personal history” with porn use.
