MINISTERIAL Commissioner Bernadett Petri, above, has accused the EU of publishing a “possibly illegal” document that portrays churches and Christianity as enemies of EU members.

She was reacting to a report called “The Next Wave — How Religious Extremism Is Reclaiming Power published late last month by the European Parliamentary Forum for Sexual and Reproductive Rights (EPF).

The report reveals the growing influence of so-called “anti-feminist” religious groups in Europe, and identifies Petri as being one of those hell-bent on imposing Christian “values” onto the EU.

She claimed that the report was:

A deliberate attempt to exclude Christianity from the functioning of the EU. This is a mistake, as the European Union itself was built on the theory and principles of Christian democracy, which also formed the basis for solidarity between Member States.

She added:

I believe that this organisation is actually afraid that those who believe in God, family, country, and traditions will regain strength and build society on these values. It is important to ask the question: why are they afraid of this?”

Because, you silly cow, your Christian “values” are utterly repugnant, embodying as they do sexism, homophobia, transphobia, child abuse, both mental and sexual, silly, superstitions and a whole bunch of other loathsome and delusional traits!

She burbled on:

I think this report is actually a very important example of the extent to which anti-Christian sentiment is gaining ground in Europe, and particularly in the European Union. It is an openly anti-Christian piece of work that fits perfectly into the trend regularly reported by several sources, including the American publication The Voice of the Martyrs: namely, that Christianity has become the most persecuted religion in the world today.

And she’s demanding a bigger role for the Catholic Church within the EU.

Designated Christian hate group, Alliance Defending Freedom, that never ceases to debase gay and transgender people, also expressed his horror over the EU report.

Paul Coleman, above, Director of ADF International, one of the groups named in the report, called it:

A thinly veiled attempt to silence ideological opponents under the guise of academic research.

He pointed out that despite presenting itself as a neutral parliamentary forum:

The EPF is a well-funded activist network receiving millions each year from abortion activist groups such as IPPF, American donors including the Gates Foundation, and various tax-payer bodies such as the European Commission and various governments.

Coleman explained that “EPF targets ADF International because our legal advocacy is effective in defending life, parental rights, free expression, and other fundamental freedoms across the globe.”

He added that:

Rather than counter our arguments, the EPF seeks to block Christian and conservative voices from engaging in important public debates. The more they try to silence us and other like-minded organisations working in defense of fundamental freedoms, the clearer it becomes that our work is making a difference in Europe and beyond.

For all its talk about Christian morality and evangelical values the outfit was left reeling when, in April 2013, ADF when one of its associate attorneys, Lisa A Biron,[was convicted of six counts of sexual exploitation of children, and one count of possession of child pornography when she filmed her own 14-year-old daughter having sex with two men on multiple occasions

ADF moved swiftly to whitewash their connection to Biron by removing mention of her on the ADF web site and Facebook page. Biron got 40 years in prison.

  1. How I wish that the EU and GB were Religionophobic with the emphasis on Islamophobia, Christianophobia and Judaismophobia.

  2. I like to travel out of the UK. In recent times, I’ve refused invitations from would-be travel buddies to visit the historic city of Budapest that they love. Also Turkey which some friends here can’t get enough of – both for the state-led homophobia in those countries – BTW, I’m an ancient cis-het granny – just want to give a very tiny bit of support to LGBTQTIA+ folk who are persecuted in those countries. (Not to mention boycotting the US of A, of course.)
