WHILE TRUMP was expressing his delight that America has gained its first pope, his Make America Great Again (MAGA) thugs took to social media to vent their fury over the Vatican’s choice of a “Marxist” to replace Francis. US podcaster Joey Mannarino, inset above, went as far as to tell his 600,000 followers that the new pope was a ‘liberal piece of shit.”

And far-right activist and Trump ally Laura Loomer said on X;

He is anti-Trump, anti-MAGA, pro-open Borders, and a total Marxist like Pope Francis. Catholics don’t have anything good to look forward to. Just another Marxist puppet in the Vatican.

The anger, according to TIME magazine, stems from the fact that the new man in Rome, Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost, has a history of amplifying messages in support of racial justice and gun safety, and is against capital punishment.

Before becoming pontiff, the first US-born pope was not shy about criticising Trump and Vice President JD Vance — social media musings that pulled him into the maelstrom of divided US politics.

Before the election of Prevost the infantile Orange Horror was accused of mocking the election of a new leader of the Catholic church after posting a “blasphemous” artificial intelligence-generated picture of himself as a pope on social media.

    I think the new Pope must be the real deal. I heard one of his buddies say that he had been in direct contact with God. Could be a bit of competition with Trump who has also been in direct contact. And God also deflected a bullet from Trump to kill a bystander. Not clear why the bullet could not be deflected into empty space.

    The BBC, currently asking for views on what the licence payers want gave 100 per cent coverage to 100 per cent papal bullshit. The human pest is rapidly going belly up while believing it is specially chosen as God’s favourite creature.

    Prevost and Le Prevost is a Guernsey family name, is he one of them? Today, I have been listening to BBC Radio Guernsey’s coverage of the Liberation day celebrations; on 9 May 1945 I was 20 months old, I was at the harbour in St Peter Port with my parents when we welcomed the British troops who liberated us after 5 years of German occupation, I remember it well!
