‘Prayer is not a religious act, it’s a national necessity’ says deranged Christian nationalist and grifter Paula White

THURSDAY saw the prosperity preacher — at the invitation of Donald J Trump — boast at America’s ridiculous National Day of Prayer attended by a ragbag of faith-heads, that more than 1,000 religious leaders have come to the White House in the first 100 days of the Orange Horror’s presidency.

Her main message was that she was to act as supervisor to Trump’s newly created White House Faith Office, a hotch-potch of “Task Forces” which will allow faith leaders to “collaborate” with all state departments to create and craft policy.

In a proclamation signed by Trump, the infantile buffoon said:

I proudly established Task Forces to eradicate religious bias by combatting anti-Semitic, anti-Christian, and additional forms of anti-religious bias.  They are charged with the mandate to identify and eliminate all anti‑religious policies, practices, and conduct in executive departments and agencies.  In addition, I established the White House Faith Office in order to strengthen our families and to protect our religious freedom.  I will never waver in safeguarding the right to religious liberty and protecting God in our public square. Nine months ago on July 13, 2024, my faith took on new meaning.  An assassin’s bullet came within a quarter of an inch of ending my life.  In that instant, as Secret Service crowded around and knocked me to the ground, I felt what seemed to be the supernatural hand of God.  I believe that God spared my life for a reason — to save our country and restore America to greatness.  It serves as a sacred reminder of our Creator’s infinite goodness, guidance, and grace.

Shortly after, American Atheists’ Melina Cohen, reacted to this chilling proclamation with an email sent to supporters, warning:

We’re seeing a resurgence of McCarthy-esque ‘godless communist’ anti-atheism in the administration’s promises to root out ‘all anti-religious policies, practices, and conduct.’

She added:

Again and again, this administration attempts to rewrite our nation’s history, reinterpret our laws, reshape our government, and even revise our collective understanding of reality. Speaking on Thursday, Pastor Paula White, head of the White House Faith Office, said, ‘Prayer is not a religious act. It’s a national necessity,’ while Trump claimed, ‘People of faith have never been allowed in the White House.’

And she concluded:

This commission is united in one thing: cementing religious privilege for conservative Christians at the expense of everyone else. Their version of ‘religious freedom’ starts and ends at the people who look like them, believe like them, and worship like them. And it certainly doesn’t include us.

  1. In the photo, the future pope looks sooooooooooo pious and humble that I feel certain the white smoke will be for him.

  2. Must be the only activity on which massive and expensive amounts of daily time are wasted with not the slightest evidence of any response. I wonder why this is. Has anyone any idea why? There must be some psychological explanation? Is it a con trick from which those who insist on prayer benefit? Or some kind of insanity?

In the USA it is lunacy, in all other countries it is a form of insanity.
