IN downplaying the risk of spreading COVID-19 during the pandemic, Dave Ramsey, above, a Christian “finance guru”, referred to those who wear masks as “wusses,” barred employees from working at home and said his company—Ramsey Solultions—would be guided by “faith not fear.”
Ramsey added that wearing a mask or social distancing was an act “against the will of God.”
One employee who profoundly disagreed with Ramsey’s dangerous advice was Brad Amos, a former video editor at the company, who got himself sacked for opposing Ramsey dangerous utterings,
In 2021 he sued Ramsey Solutions.
His lawyers alleged that the “cult-like” Lampo Group—which operates as Ramsey Solutions—had been unfairly discriminated against because his faith required him to mask, social distance and comply with other CDC recommendations during the pandemic.
His insistence in doing so, they alleged, led to his firing.
It’s now reported by Religion News Service that A federal appeals court has ruled in favour of Amos.
A ruling from the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth District said:
Amos says that his termination was based on his failure to submit to Lampo’s religious practices and his expression of his own religious beliefs with regard to COVID measures. These facts form the basis for Amos’s religious-discrimination claims.
In June last year Dave Ramsey was hit with a $150 million lawsuit for promoting a time-share company accused of fraud.
