CHRISTIANS have been warned by Andrew Torba, above, to think long and hard before listening to songs such as “White Christmas,” “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and “Let it Snow” because they were written by American Jews.

According to Religion News Service, Torba— a Christ-crazed ultra-conservative web commentator and and co-author of Christian Nationalism: A Biblical Guide For Taking Dominion and Discipling Nations— issued the warning in a recent episode of his “Parallel Christian Society Podcast.”

Those songs, Torba claimed, were part of a conspiracy to kick Christ out of Christmas that turned a celebration of the birth of Jesus into a winter holiday with room for Jews.

Knowing this, how could you allow your household to be filled with this music?

Asked about his podcast, Torba cited a 2012 Haaretz article, which quoted the late American novelist Philip Roth describing “White Christmas” as a song that took Christ out of Christmas.

Torba wrote in an email

People who hate and reject Jesus Christ, and whose faith and identity centers around that rejection, wrote subversive songs to ‘de-Christ’ Christmas,. This is a problem and Christians deserve to know about it so they can adjust their listening habits during the Christmas season accordingly.

The Haaretz piece quoted renowned historian Jonathan Sarna as saying that Christmas as changed over the years from being a religious holiday that minorities are not a part of, to a national holiday that can encompass all Americans, Christian or not.

If, as a famous advertisement once declared, ‘you don’t have to be Jewish to love Levy’s Real Jewish Rye’ then by analogy you don’t have to be Christian to love Christmas.

He pointed out that American Jews have developed their own distinct “rituals” for Christmas day, including celebrations of Jewish culture at museums and galleries, Christmas day singles dances, going to the movies, or enjoying a night of comedy.

  1. ” Christians deserve to know about it so they can adjust their listening habits during the Christmas season accordingly.”

This is another statement from a Christian in fantasy land. What possible difference could adjusting habits to not singing songs like “White Christmas” make? For a start, the U,K, is now a minority Christian country. The Christmas season was celebrated long before Christianity existed, And will exist after Christianity has faded away.

The celebration was in anticipation of the season turning from winter into Spring. Currently, it seems to exist as a justification for many people to be on a lengthy drunken spree.
