DREW COLLINS, the godly coach of a football team made of 7, 8, and 9-year-olds has been warned that his team in Prince George County would not be allowed to play if they turned up wearing jerseys bearing a Bible verse.
The coach, according to one mother, Shauna Collins, above, said the coach asked parents about adding something to the back of the jerseys.
We had said, ‘Yes, it’s fine, it’s OK.’ It’s John 14:6.
Friendly Atheist Hermant Mehta said in an email sent to subscribers:
You don’t want Bible verses on those jerseys for the same reason you wouldn’t want Satanic, Islamic, or atheistic messages on them. Just stick to the damn game and stop forcing your religion on the kids.

Mehta also pointed out:
When you bring religion into a community-run sports league, a game that’s meant to be inclusive of all students who want to play turns into one that purposely alienates Muslims, Jews, atheists, and even some Christian families.
The decision not to allow jerseys with the Bible verse or any other slogans or adverts was made by the Prince George County Parks and Recreation Department, which was questioned about uniform rules.
Shauna Collins, not related to the coach, said county officials then delivered an ultimatum to the team.
If they show up on the field with those jerseys, they will not be able to play for the rest of the season.
Mehta points out that John 14:6 is not uplifting, as some like the imbecile coach Collins would claim. He observed:
It actually implies that people who don’t accept the divinity of Jesus will be tortured for eternity!
