US’s man in Israel, an ‘End Times fanatic’, is nudging Trump towards an apocalyptic war

MIKE Huckabee, above, a former Arkansas governor and “current Christian nationalist ideologue,” who was appointed by Trump as US ambassador to Israel, has has asked the President to heed God and heaven as he manages America’s response to the escalating Israel-Iran war.

This, says The Freedom From Religion Foundation, is:

Is a profoundly irresponsible and theocratic appeal from someone tasked with representing U.S. interests abroad.

The FFRF previously condemned Huckabee’s appointment as “a disaster of biblical proportions.”

The FFRF added:

His latest appeal to divine guidance in matters of war only underscores how dangerous his appointment continues to be.

In a letter shared by Trump, the numbskull Zionist nationalist wrote:

God spared you in Butler, PA to be the most consequential President in a century — maybe ever. The decisions on your shoulders I would not want to be made by anyone else. You have many voices speaking to you Sir, but there is only ONE voice that matters. HIS voice.
… No President in my lifetime has been in a position like yours. Not since Truman in 1945. I don’t reach out to persuade you. Only to encourage you. I believe you will hear from heaven and that voice is far more important than mine or ANYONE else’s. … You did not seek this moment. This moment sought YOU!

The FFRF took issue with the dipshit’s comparison of Trump to Truman saying it suggests:

Trump is in a similar position to the one Truman faced in 1945 when he decided to drop atomic bombs on Japan. This chilling reference raises the specter that Huckabee sees nuclear escalation in religious terms — as a divinely guided necessity rather than a last-resort geopolitical decision. The invocation of Truman’s role as a precedent implies that Huckabee is not merely asking for prayerful reflection but calling for faith-based justification of catastrophic violence.

FFRF Co-President Dan Barker said:

Mike Huckabee is not a diplomat — he’s an End Times fanatic who views international affairs through the lens of biblical prophecy, not national security or human rights. Calling on Trump to listen to the ‘voice of God’ as a full-blown war looms is not just absurd — it’s terrifying.

Huckabee, says the organisation:

Has repeatedly rejected the two-state solution, referring to the occupied Palestinian territories by biblical names such as “Judea and Samaria” and denying the existence of the Palestinian people altogether. He has led evangelical tours through Israel that frame the region not as a diverse and conflict-ridden reality, but as a holy stage set for the apocalypse.

    There is no doubt that the religious nutters are confirming each other in their madness. That these dangerous fools are ruling their countries should be beyond belief. It isn’t and worse, they have millions of followers who believe Trump and co have religious truth and there is no need to look further or question their madness.

    Starmer seems adept at licking Trump’s arse and in return Trump says he “likes the UK”, (Big deal?) and doesn’t impose certain taxes on goods. Trump casually removes taxes and benefits from some and wrecks the businesses of others. No thought for normal business practice being involved.

    Meanwhile Starmer has to be pressured to take an interest on global warming issues. He makes some minor financial decision but indifference is the tone. Not the passion and deep concern needed. I think it is too late to recover from the disaster on which we are embarked.

    Big money is available to let the oceans be poisoned and destructively scraped, allow the rivers to be used as sewers for human waste while paying bonuses to those supposed to be caring for them and there are no signs of real action.

    Only anti-Palestinian religious knuckleheads like you refer to the illegally occupied territory as Judea and Samaria. The term “West Bank” is used in international treaties, like the Oslo Accords, and by international organisations, emphasising its status as occupied Palestinian territory. In essence, the use of “Judea and Samaria” is associated with a historical and religious narrative, while “West Bank” is the more politically neutral and internationally recognised term. Get yourself educated, you fucking imbecile!

Sigh.” Your retort was “I suggest you get your spelling right before making comments about intelligence – “that” should have been “than”!!

              Take your own advice. In your latest comment on this site you spell humorous wrong and go back as single word. Yes, you certainly are less intelligent than most people.

              Care to explain why you later removed the post?                   One of my favourites that we non-theists obviously mistranslate, misunderstand, or read it in an incorrect or discredited version and then use it to discredit the beneficent god so much admired by Hutton and his ilk, is:-

                  It would be fascinating, just once, to hear one of the “infallible” bible enthusiasts explain some of the more outrageous statements e.g. the quote above that you gave.

                  No chance. Like the intellectual cowards that they are they run for cover and refuse to come into the open. They can confront this accusation by explanation. Instead they prefer to skulk under cover and leave their “infallible” bible (about which they are so proud to look after itself.

    Bob Hutton. No evidence from you, I suppose, for the claims you state as if they were true. As for the bible being the “infallible word of God it often contradicts its own infallible statements.” And in which language is it infallible. It was written by a group and subject to many changes. Confirming lies as “infallible” word of God doesn’t make them any less lies.
